Susan Ball, Interim Director of Programs, New York Foundation for the Arts
In April 2009, Susan Ball joined the staff as Interim Director of Programs after serving on the board for 13 years. Dr. Ball has extensive experience developing and implementing professional development training programs for artists across the nation. From 1986 – 2006 she was the Executive Director of the College Art Association where she was responsible for overall supervision and administration of 14,000+ members of the artist/scholar professional association founded in 1911. Among her many responsibilities was the oversight of the organization’s Professional Development Fellowship Program and Job Placement Bureau. From 2006 – 2009 she was the Director of the CAA Centennial Book Project where she led production of the history of the College Art Association. The book will be published by Rutgers University Press in 2010.
